เวลาทำคอนเท็น Honda E-Clutch มักจะมีหลายท่าน เม้นบอกว่า “เหมือนรถรุ่นนั้น รุ่นนี้” “ระบบนี้มีมาหลายสิบปีแล้ว”
เอาจริงๆ เชื่อจริงๆหรอครับ ว่ามัน “เหมือนกัน” เป็นเทคโนโลยีเดียวกัน
ถ้าเชื่อว่ามันเหมือนกัน ก็ไม่ต่างอะไรกับการพูดว่า “รถยนต์ไฟฟ้า” กับ “รถยนต์สันดาป” นั้นเหมือนกัน เพียงแค่ขับเหมือนกัน แต่“เทคโนโลยีคนละโลกกันเลย” อีกสิ่งหนึ่งที่เป็นข้อเท็จจริงคือ ฟิวลิ่งการขับขี่ก็ต่างกันคนละโลกเช่นกัน
Honda E-Clutch ย่อมาจาก “Electronic Clutch” แค่ชื่อก็บอกการทำงานที่ต่างกันแล้ว ในรถหลายๆรุ่น ที่หลายท่านคิดว่าเหมือน เป็นเพียงแค่ระบบแมคคานิกส์ ไม่มีระบบไฟฟ้าเข้ามาทำงาน(ยกเว้นระบบQuickShifter) หรือมีกล่องควบคุมคอนโทรลใดๆ หรือใช้เซ็นเซอร์ต่างๆในการเข้ามาคำนวณในการทำงาน ส่งผลให้การทำงานในจังหวะต่างๆ นั้นแตกต่างกันแบบชัดเจน ความสมูทและความแม่นยำก็แตกต่างกัน
ระบบที่คล้ายกันนี้ ในอดีตมีแนวคิดเพื่อความสะดวกสบาย อย่างที่หลายคนเชื่อว่าออกแบบมา “สำหรับคนขี้เกียจ”
แต่ใน Honda E-Clutch นอกเหนือจากความสะดวกสบายที่ได้เข้ามา ในE-Clutch การที่ทำงานด้วยระบบไฟฟ้า จะเข้ามาช่วยเหลือในสถานการณ์ต่างๆ เพื่อให้รถมันไม่เสียอาการ อย่างเช่นการรวบเกียร์(ไม่เตะเกียร์เป็นจังหวะ) และการใช้เกียร์ที่ไม่สัมพันธ์กับความเร็ว ตัวรถจะเอาเซ็นเซอร์ต่างๆภายในรถไม่ว่าจะเป็นความเร็ว รวมถึงรอบเครื่อง และในอีกหลายๆตัว เพื่อมาแก้อาการโดยที่คนขับเอง อาจจะไม่รู้สึกถึงอาการเลย 
ผมถึงพูดเสมอว่า มันไม่เหมือนกันเลยแม้แต่นิดเดียว และอยากอธิบายให้ทุกคนเข้าใจถึงเทคโนโลยีนี้ เพราะถ้าคิดแค่ว่ามันเหมือนกับระบบ ที่ผ่านๆมา มันคือการไม่เปิดรับ ในเทคโนโลยีใหม่ และเข้าใจเจตจำนงของการออกแบบระบบนี้เลย
อยากรู้ว่ามันเป็นอย่างไรแนะนำให้ไปศูนย์ Honda BigWing ไปลองขับขี่จริง แนะนำว่าอย่าลองขับแบบปกติ ให้ลองสับเกียร์ ใส่เกียร์ในแบบที่ไม่ควรใส่ หรือในแบบที่รถปกติเราจะไม่ทำกัน แล้วจะรู้เลยว่าระบบนี้เข้ามาช่วยเหลือและแก้อาการมากเพียงใด และเราจะเห็นภาพเลยว่ามันไม่เหมือนกันอย่างที่ผมพยายามพูดมาเสมอ

Whenever I create content about Honda E-Clutch, there are always people commenting things like, “It’s just like that model,” or “This system has existed for decades already.”
But honestly, do you really believe it’s “the same” technology?
If you truly think they are the same, then it’s no different from saying that an electric car and an internal combustion car are the same simply because both can be driven. In reality, the technologies behind them are from completely different worlds — and the driving feel is also entirely different.
Honda E-Clutch stands for “Electronic Clutch.” The name itself already reflects a completely different operating principle.
Many of the systems people compare it to are purely mechanical systems, without any electronic control involved (except for systems like Quickshifter). They do not use ECUs, electronic control modules, or multiple sensors to calculate and manage operation in real time. As a result, the behavior in different riding situations is clearly different, especially in terms of smoothness and precision.
In the past, similar concepts were mainly developed for convenience, which is why many people assume they were designed “for lazy riders.”
But Honda E-Clutch goes far beyond convenience.
Because it operates electronically, the system actively assists the rider in various situations to keep the motorcycle stable and composed. For example, during aggressive shifting or when selecting a gear that does not match the vehicle speed, the system uses multiple sensors — including speed, engine RPM, and many others — to calculate and correct the behavior instantly. In many cases, the rider may not even notice the correction happening.
That is why I always say: it is not the same system at all.
I genuinely want people to understand the technology behind it, because if we simply assume it is identical to older systems, then we are refusing to open our minds to new technology and completely missing the true purpose behind Honda’s engineering philosophy for this system.
If you really want to understand how it works, I recommend visiting a Honda BigWing showroom and trying it for yourself.
And don’t just ride it normally.
Try aggressive gear changes. Shift in situations where you normally wouldn’t on a conventional motorcycle. That’s when you will truly feel how much the system helps stabilize the bike and correct rider input. You will immediately understand why I keep saying that it is fundamentally different from previous systems.
