While strolling through Fukuoka today, something made me stop and look longer than usual… An old motorcycle was on display in front of a shop. But this wasn’t just any "old bike" — it was a Suzuki Katana. The iconic square-headlight beast, in pristine condition and customized so beautifully it looked as if it had just rolled out of the showroom.

The Katana is a legendary motorcycle from the 1980s–90s, renowned for its futuristic design and raw power that captured the hearts of speed enthusiasts of its era. Its name, inspired by the Japanese sword, reflects its sharp, striking character.

Nearly 40 years have passed, yet here in Japan — especially in 2025 — the Katana is still revered, lovingly preserved, and often reimagined with modern styling. It stands not just as a machine, but as a work of art on two wheels. The Japanese hold deep respect for the history of this model and remain captivated by its rugged charm and timeless appeal.
